The incumbent will direct sales, business development and marketing activities of the company playing a key role in expanding the company’s global presence in a specialized niche military market.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

 Develops, along with the President, policies, objectives and programs for marketing and sales activities of the organization which are in keeping with its expertise, its potential, and its long term and strategic plans for sustained growth
 Sets strategy and direction for the marketing and customer relationship activities that will improve market penetration
 Takes ownership of the management of the sales and marketing functions of the company by managing, directing and coordinating marketing managers, marketing team, consultants, agents, and representatives
 Provides feedback to the President and other Senior Management on marketing and sales issues and their impact on the other functions of the organization
 Responsible for the overall management of all the strategic and operational Marketing and Customer Relationship activities

Required Experience/Qualifications/Skills/Personal Attributes:

 Considerable experience in senior/executive roles
 Experienced in marketing of military surplus vehicles and upgrade of armored vehicles
 Familiarity with weapon systems, Turrets, Electro Optical Systems, Fire Control Systems, Communication and general applique systems
 Operational management of sales and business development projects in foreign countries
 Gained credibility with major defense contractors
 Proven global negotiation skills and success in global negotiations in heavy armored vehicles
 Recruitment of representatives/agents
 Military background
 Certification in related engineering disciplines and/or proven experience in global negotiations are essential supplemented with experience in heavy specialized vehicles
 Exposure and working in any military organization is an asset.

Program Manager – Military Products
RRS are seeking a motivated, self-starting individual to both effectively manage the existing customer base and develop new business.
The successful candidate will ideally have an extensive background in the defence and security field, covering a wide range of activities, including:
• Account Management
• Order Management
• Sales and Marketing
• Contract/Sub-contract Administration
• Cost and Pricing activities
• Bids and Proposals
• Lifecycle Management
• Repair and Overhaul
Reporting to the VP of Operations, they will primarily act as the “Voice of the Customer” within RRS, effectively translating and communicating customer requirements to internal functional groups (Planning, Operations, Engineering, and Purchasing) to maintain KPIs such as OTD, TAT and IWRR metrics.
In addition, they will expand existing customer accounts, seeking out and implementing growth in both vertical and adjacent opportunities to the current manufacturing and repair activities.
They will also work closely with the RRS Business Development function, solidifying qualified leads and setting out the account capture strategy, and implementing the necessary tactical activities to meet company sales and revenue targets.
A high standard of customer relationship and presentation competency is required, and the ability to confidently and professionally interact with all levels of potential customer personnel.
Experience dealing with Canadian Government procurement functions, and a solid understanding of how the Department of National Defence and other government agencies operate and support electronic systems is a definite asset.
• Engineering or technical background, preferably in the military electronics field
• Advanced MS Office skills, particularly in Excel
• ERP use – for example SAP, Baan or AP
• CRM use – in particular Salesforce
• Demonstrated understanding of contractual Terms and Conditions, in particular SACC.
• Exposure to ISO 9001 QMS, knowledge of AS9100 requirements
• Project Management principles – cost/schedule tracking, WBS etc
• Knowledge of component purchasing procedures, especially in relation to anti-counterfeit parts mitigation
• Configuration management principles – document revision levels, deviations and waivers, ECOs
This position will require individual registration under the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), and the possibility of Canadian government security clearance up to the “SECRET” level.

• Secure new contracts and manage all accounts through prospecting, business development, and market penetration
• Provide full cycle project management to ensure customer requirements are met
