How MG Chemicals Contributed to Canada’s Largest Cybersecurity Conference
Burlington, ON – June 26, 2025
MG Chemicals is proud to announce its sponsorship of NorthSec, Canada’s largest cybersecurity event that was held this past May. MG donated soldering supplies such as solder wire, solder paste, desolder braid and flux that gave participants the opportunity to develop hands-on technical skills essential to hardware security.
Organized by a non-profit, NorthSec brings together professionals, students, and enthusiasts for a two-day conference at one of the world’s largest on-site capture the flag competitions. The event is dedicated to deepening technical knowledge and fostering collaboration within the cybersecurity community.
As part of this mission, MG Chemicals supported the Soldering Village, a hands-on space within the community area where attendees could learn and hone their soldering skills, key for hardware-focused pentesting, electronics prototyping, and embedded systems work.
By supporting events like NorthSec, MG Chemicals affirms its commitment to advancing Canada’s cybersecurity and defense capabilities through education, innovation, and community engagement.
