YOUR MISSION

The Membership Account Specialist is a primary point of contact for CADSI members and prospective members, providing responsive, knowledgeable and personalized support throughout their relationship with the association.

Reporting to the Director, Membership Care, the Specialist will support prospective members through the application and approval process, onboard new members and provide ongoing account support to an assigned portfolio of member companies.

The Specialist will develop a strong understanding of each member's organization and needs, helping them navigate CADSI's programs, events, services and commercial opportunities. Working across CADSI, the Specialist will connect members with the appropriate teams and ensure they receive a coordinated and high-quality member experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

‍

Membership Applications & Onboarding

• Serve as a front-line contact for companies interested in joining CADSI and respond to membership inquiries.

• Guide prospective members through CADSI's membership application process and explain membership requirements, benefits and opportunities.

• Review and screen membership applications for eligibility and approve applications in accordance with established CADSI policies and criteria.

• Coordinate the onboarding of new members and ensure they receive a welcoming and informative introduction to CADSI.

• Help new members understand and begin accessing the programs, services, events and opportunities available through their membership.

Member Account Management

• Serve as a primary point of contact for an assigned portfolio of CADSI member companies.

• Develop an understanding of member organizations, their priorities and their relationship with CADSI.

• Provide ongoing support throughout the membership lifecycle and respond to questions, requests and service needs.

• Proactively connect members with relevant CADSI programs, events, resources and opportunities.

• Maintain regular contact with assigned members and help ensure they continue to understand and realize the value of membership.

Member Service & Navigation

• Provide responsive, professional and solutions-oriented service to members contacting CADSI.

• Act as a member's internal navigator, connecting them with the appropriate CADSI team when specialized support is required.

• Identify member interest in opportunities such as sponsorship, exhibit space, advertising, international programming and events and facilitate a seamless introduction to the appropriate team.

• Follow member inquiries through to resolution and help ensure effective hand-offs between departments.

• Identify recurring questions, challenges and service gaps and share them with the Membership Care team.

Member Information & Insights

• Maintain accurate and current information about assigned member accounts within CADSI's membership management system.

• Capture relevant member interactions, interests and needs to strengthen CADSI's understanding of its membership.

• Work with the Manager, Membership Insights to support strong data quality and effective use of member information.

• Share member feedback and intelligence with the Manager, Member Engagement and Director, Membership Care to support broader outreach and engagement initiatives.

Other Duties

• Support membership outreach, retention and engagement initiatives as required.

• Represent CADSI at member and industry activities where appropriate.

• Undertake other duties and responsibilities as required, including occasional travel.

• Assist with event execution on an as-needed basis, supporting setup, breakdown, and operational requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

• University degree or college diploma in business, communications, customer service or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 2–4 years of experience in customer service, account management, membership services, business development or a related field.

• Demonstrated ability to develop positive and professional customer or member relationships.

• Strong customer-service orientation and commitment to delivering a high-quality experience.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts, inquiries and priorities simultaneously.

• Strong judgment, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Experience within an association, membership organization or B2B environment is considered an asset.

• Knowledge of Canada's defence and security sector and bilingualism in English and French are considered assets.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive compensation package that includes:

• Annual salary of $70,000–$80,000, commensurate with experience
