Providence Group Bridges Canada-Ukraine Aerospace Cooperation at FAS 2016

Farnborough, UK – 16 July 2016 – On the cusp of signing the Free Trade Agreement between Canada and Ukraine in Kyiv on July 11, 2016, Providence Group once again cemented its pioneering role in bridging these two countries.

As a member of Canadian Association of Defense and Security Industries (CADSI) and Aerospace Industries Association of Canada (AIAC), Providence Group has raised Canada-Ukraine cooperation to the attention of many large Canadian aerospace companies and government officials. As a result, many companies see Ukraine as a potential and interesting market for themselves.

At Farnborough Air Show 2016, Providence Group also met with the Ukrainian crown and private aerospace companies and has helped them to clarify their commercial asks for Canadian companies. For example, FED Corporation – a Ukrainian actuator, pump, flight and engine control systems manufacturer, has narrowed down its commercial ask to meet needs of a Canadian Tier 1 integrator.

In addition, Providence Group met and discussed aerospace issues of trade and transfer of technology with Hon. Navdeep Bains, Hon. Judy Foote and Hon. Chrystia Freeland.

“Meetings with commercial and political leaders from the aerospace and defense industries were important because they have significantly raised awareness of business opportunities for aerospace companies in Canada and Ukraine,” said Volodymyr Paslavskyi, President and CEO of Providence Group.

Providence Group specializes in providing business-to-business (B2B) and consulting services and represents aerospace, security and defense companies from around the world in Ukraine and in Canada. Canada is the 5th largest aerospace producer in the World. For its clients, Providence Group presents strategy, plan and looks at products and services from the perspective of buyers, which allows our group to set goals, prioritize and assess results more accurately.

The International Farnborough Air Show takes place near London every two years and brings together all the industry's players across the globe to showcase the latest technological innovations. This year, the show took place from July 11th to July 17th. Canadian delegation to FAS2016 consisted of more than 400 Canadian participants.
