The DGRDI team from the Department of National Defence and the Canadian Armed Forces (DND/CAF) and staff from NATO DIANA will be holding virtual information sessions on DIANA and how it can benefit Canadian innovators, starting April 25, 2023.

Similar to the Innovation for Defence Excellence and Security (IDEaS) program, NATO DIANA aims to unite the best and brightest innovators with defence and security challenges. As Canada is a NATO member, Canadian innovators will be eligible to participate in all processes initiated by DIANA. Upon selection by the program, innovators will be provided access to a network of accelerators and test centres across more than 20 allied nations in North America and Europe.

The call for applications for DIANA’s pilot challenge programs will launch in June 2023. The three priority areas for this year include energy resilience, secure information sharing, and sensing and surveillance.

If you’re interested in learning more about DIANA and opportunities for innovators, the following information sessions are available. No registration is required for these sessions, however, there is a cap of 1000 participants per session. If you cannot attend one of the sessions below, a recording will be available.  Each information session will include a presentation followed by a question-and-answer period.
