Small Business Information Expo presented by OSME

Event Description

Do you own or lead a small business?

Did you know the government of Canada has a multitude of programs designed to help you with financing, innovation, hiring and training and much more?

The Small Business Information Expo is there to help you get the information you need on a range of key business support programs and services. You can connect directly with these programs and services for information and advice in plain language, all in one virtual place! And best of all - it's free of charge!

When : Wednesday, November 25th and Thursday, November 26th

Time : 10AM to noon on both days

What : Tradeshow with a B2B setup plus interactive panel discussions

Where : Online

Cost : FREE!

In the main tradeshow, you will be able to talk to program representatives in a one-on-one setting for information relevant to your business. Meanwhile, the panel discussions will employ a “lightning round” setup to give you an overview of resources that exist to help your business. Panels will follow the agenda below:

 

Wednesday, November 25th

10AM: Tradeshow opens (runs to 12:15 PM)

10:15 - 11:00 Panel: How do I get funding? (BDC, RBC, TD, BMO and Futurpreneur)

11:15 - 12:00 Panel: How do I find the skills and people I need? (Service Canada, IRCC, Invest Ottawa)

12:15 - Day 1 wrap-up

 

Thursday, November 26th

10AM: Tradeshow opens (runs to 12:15 PM)

10:15 - 11:00 Panel: How do I find support for my innovation? (ISED / Innovation Canada, IRAP, SR&ED (Canada Revenue Agency), and IDEaS (National Defense))

11:15 - 12:00 Panel: How do I find new markets for my products and services? (OSME, Global Affairs Canada's Trade Commissioner Service, and FedDev)

12:15 Day 2 wrap-up
