The ideal candidate will draft eblasts, track digital performance, assist with member promotions, and support event marketing for CANSEC, CAF Outlooks, Cyber and Digital Outlooks, and international activities.

Core Responsibilities

Reporting to the Marketing Specialist, the Marketing Assistant will support campaign execution, maintain performance tracking, and assist with tasks that support CADSI events. This role requires working with cross functional teams to help maintain clear messaging and organized workflows.

As a CADSI Marketing Assistant, your work will include:

  • Email support
    • Draft general audience eblasts, set up sends, and keep basic tracking updated. Comfort working in CSS and HTML are strong assets for building and editing eblasts.
  • Digital performance tracking
    • Monitor email metrics, Google Ads, and Boost ads. Update weekly reports and flag notable changes.
  • Event marketing support
    • Assist with marketing tasks for CANSEC, CAF Outlooks, Cyber and Digital Outlooks, and international activities. Prepare simple assets, gather content, and support coordination needs.
  • Member promotion support
    • Help manage CADSIBoost ads by collecting assets, preparing files, and confirming delivery.
  • Social and content support
    • Assist with WiDS social posts, simple visuals, and short promotional copy.
  • Administrative support
    • Help maintain organized files, update shared resources, and support day to day tasks as needed.

This role values initiative, strong writing, steady time management, and a willingness to learn. You will support active campaigns and help the team keep work organized and on schedule.

Your Experience and Qualifications

  • One to three years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Strong writing skills with clear, concise, and accurate copy
  • Ability to adapt tone based on audience and platform
  • Solid time management and comfort balancing tasks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Office365 tools is an asset
  • Comfort with basic CSS and HTML is a helpful asset but not required
  • Bilingualism in English and French, or an interest in the defence and security sector, are valuable assets

Above all, CADSI values a willingness to learn and adapt. During this three-month, part-time contract, you will gain hands-on experience with new tools and marketing approaches while working closely with a collaborative team focused on continuous improvement.

Compensation

This is a part-time, short-term position running from February to May 2026. The hourly rate ranges from $18 to $25/hr.

You will work three full days in-office per week and gain hands-on experience with active marketing campaigns. The role provides learning opportunities, exposure to national events, and support from a collaborative team.

Working Environment

CADSI offers a supportive team environment, exposure to major national events, and opportunities to learn new tools and processes. The role provides hands-on experience with active campaigns and access to a collaborative and inclusive marketing team.

Commitment To Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

CADSI is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and accessible workplace. We encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds, including women, Indigenous peoples, racialized persons, persons with disabilities, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.

How To Apply

Please submit your resume and a cover letter (max. two pages) by midnight (EDT) on February 12th, 2026, to [email protected].

Your cover letter should address:

1. Why you’re interested in working for CADSI.

2. How your skills and experience align with the requirements of this role.

3. Examples of your results-oriented approach.

4. Your salary expectations.

Only applicants selected for an interview will be contacted.

We look for people who bring initiative, clear communication, and a good fit with our team. Credentials matter, but they do not outweigh attitude and approach. We take care in selecting the right candidate, and the process includes three interview rounds.

Thank you for your interest,
