Advancing Poland’s Tactical Advantage at Sea
- INTS to be deployed on OSI’s fourth Polish program
- Ratownik represents versatility beyond traditional rescue ships
- A growing relationship between PGZ Stocznia Wojenna (PGZ Naval Shipyard) and OSI Maritime Systems
- OSI is becoming the preferred supplier to the Polish Navy
December 5, 2025 – OSI Maritime Systems (OSI) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract by the PGZ STOCZNIA WOJENNA SP. Z O.O. shipyard to deliver the IBNS (Integrated Bridge & Navigation System) for the Polish Navy’s Ratownik (Submarine Rescue Ship) program.
The vessel is designed to serve primarily as a national asset while also contributing to NATO operations. Its expanded design enhances versatility beyond traditional rescue roles, enabling it to support a wide range of missions. Equipped with defensive capabilities and integrated systems for operating alongside uncrewed vessels, it may also function as a command-and-control platform. As a large vessel, it offers capacity for logistical support and additional operations, including rescue missions, underwater activities, and delivering technical and medical assistance to naval ships and their crews.
The IBNS is a variant of OSI’s Integrated Navigation & Tactical System (INTS), the leading Warship Integrated Navigation and Tactical System. INTS features capabilities designed for modern naval operations and is powered by ECPINS, the predominant WECDIS supplied to NATO and Allied navies.
OSI and PGZ SW share a Long-Term Partnership Agreement (LTPA) which includes training PGZ SW staff to conduct installations, set-to-work, configuration and commissioning activities. Furthermore, OSI is helping PGZ SW to develop a Navigation Laboratory and Mission System Integration Facility. Thanks to this cooperation, OSI will become the preferred supplier for all Polish Navy new-build and retrofit WECDIS-based navigation solutions.
The Ratownik features a length of 96 meters, a width of 19 meters, and a displacement of approximately 6500 tonnes. With a complement of approximately 100 personnel, the Ratownik can achieve a maximum speed of 16 knots.
