Defence Sustainment Initiative Launch - Webinar

Event Description

The Government of Canada’s Sustainment Initiative has just launched. The initiative is a business transformation, involving the Department of National Defence (DND), Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISEDC), and Canada’s defence industry that is transforming the way the Government of Canada (GoC) approaches and manages the procurement of defence sustainment.

The goal of the SI is to generate tailored sustainment solutions that maximize Value to Canada through balancing and optimizing the Four Principles of sustainment: performance, value for money, flexibility, and economic benefits.

With the launch of the Sustainment Initiative this June, participate in a CADSI webinar to learn about the initiative, the four principles that guide it, how the government is applying the SI during the transition period, the role of the Sustainment Business Case Analysis (SBCA), and what industry should expect as Government begins formal implementation of this process.

A question and answer session will follow. Questions can be submitted in advance or during the webinar at [email protected].

Speakers:

  • André Fillion, Chief of Staff, Materiel Group, Department of National Defence
  • Joëlle Paquette, Senior Director, Price Support Directorate, Public Services and Procurement Canada

Space at the webinar is limited to the first 50 CADSI members who register. A URL to view the web browser-based webinar will be emailed to registrants.
