Base Camp Connect partners with REDCOM Laboratories to supply the Canadian Department of National Defence with tactical communication systems

Quebec – April 2, 2020

Base Camp Connect was awarded its biggest contract to date by the Canadian Department of National Defence, one of the company’s longtime clients. This opportunity of 5+ Million dollars for the 2020 calendar year alone is the result of years of efforts by Base Camp Connect developing custom, flexible communication solutions to answer the National Defense’s specific needs and priorities. Base Camp Connect sealed a strategic alliance with REDCOM Laboratories in 2019 to pursue this and other opportunities in the field of secured communications.

The contract is a major steppingstone for the Canadian-based company, which expects the contract to extend through 2024 for equipment, maintenance, and support services.

Jean-Philippe Grondin, President, and CEO commented: ‘’We are proud to have been awarded this contract by the Canadian Department of National Defence. After our evaluation, REDCOM was the best partner we found to complement our offer. Its long-standing reputation and extensive experience as a leader in secured communications for the U.S army, amongst other customers, will facilitate our custom work for DnD.’’

“REDCOM is excited to partner with Base Camp Connect to provide stationary and deployable voice communications technology to DND,” said Roy Szelewski, Director of Government Operations. “REDCOM equipment, coupled with BCC’s in-country expertise, enables us to efficiently respond to an increasing spectrum of operations in Canada and internationally. We look forward to a continued partnership with BCC to bring REDCOM’s reliable and scalable technology to its customers.”
