Tacteris supports Polish military exercise ANAKONDA-18
Maestro Enterprise software used to conduct Rehearsal of Concept drill
WARSAW, October 4, 2018 – The Tacteris Maestro Enterprise military operations software was used by the Polish Armed Forces to conduct a Rehearsal of Concept (ROC) drill for the upcoming ANAKONDA-18 exercise. By special invitation from the Armed Forces Operational Command, Tacteris specialists worked directly with Polish exercise planners to develop 3D visualizations of the scheme of maneuver using the software. For the first time, a fully digital walk-through of the plan was presented including the air, land, and maritime components of the joint, multinational exercise.
ANAKONDA-18 is Poland’s largest military exercise and aims to integrate national and allied command structures to conduct a strategic defense operation of conventional and hybrid threats. Soldiers and equipment from 10 NATO nations are involved, with 17,500 troops participating across the territory of Poland, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, and the Baltic Sea.
“The scope and level of interagency involvement creates unique challenges for planners,” said Sean Dunn, CEO of Tacteris. “The Polish military is looking for innovative solutions to persistent challenges such as the reliance on PowerPoint and other generic software for planning. Using Maestro for this ROC drill ultimately meant saving weeks of manual effort while getting a much more realistic visualization of the operation.”
Operational Commander of the Armed Forces, Major General Tomasz Piotrowski presented a plaque recognizing Tacteris for supporting the exercise, which is scheduled to take place between November 7 and December 6, 2018.
