A winning combination for German joint fires simulation and training
Simthetiq provides cross-platform library and VBS configuration expertise to ESG in support of German Armed Forces joint fires simulation and training
Montreal, September 5th 2017
Simthetiq was recently selected by ESG (Elektroniksystem- und Logistik- GmbH) to provide mission-critical support for their German Armed Forces customers. ESG required comprehensive VBS modeling and configuration services to extend the capacities of the VBS platform and allow their customers greater scenario flexibility and simulation possibilities.
The contract required rapid development and configuration of OpenFlight and VBS 3D entity models for use in ESG’s Joint Fires Support Team (JFST) and Forward Air Controller (FAC) Trainers. The 3D models included German air, sea and land vehicles, as well as human character equipment.
Simthetiq’s CEO, Vincent Cloutier, stated: “Customers like ESG choose to work with us because of our fast response, cost-effective solutions and our ability to support multiple platforms.”
Andreas Schiel, ESG´s Head of Command & Control Systems and Joint Fire Support stated: “We are very satisfied with Simthetiq’s outstanding contribution in this important project. Simthetiq´s services met all our expectations.”
