Pelican's Advanced Area Lighting Group Introduces the 9480 and 9490 Remote Area Lighting System (RALS)

TORRANCE, CA - October 20, 2014 — To provide convenient and ecologically responsible alternatives to wasteful generator powered lights Pelican Products, Inc. has introduced the Pelican™ 9480 and 9490 Remote Area Lighting Systems (RALS) . Both systems are self-contained with a quick release, rechargeable and swappable power supply:

Up to 28 hours of run time
3 pre-set light levels
Remote operation via Bluetooth® App (iPhone® only)
9490 RALS (Available Later 2014 - MSRP: $999.95)
Up to 6,000 lumens (calculated)
Up to 24 hours of run time
Intelligent Control (allows for varied light output levels) - calculates and displays current battery life, allowing the user to regulate the intensity of the light and choose the desired run time.
Remote operation via Bluetooth® App (iPhone® only)
Both systems are engineered with a multi-position deployable mast (the 9480 telescopes to 23.75" and the 9490 telescopes to 72"), and the maintenance-free LED array has a life expectancy of over 50,000 hours. A detachable nylon shoulder strap is also included. Built Pelican tough and tested to military standards, both lighting systems are available in black or yellow and backed by the company's legendary Guarantee of Excellence.
