Tulmar acquires metal fabricator Mil-Quip
OTTAWA, Ontario, Canada - Tulmar, a leading Canadian provider of engineered textiles to the Canadian Defence and Aviation markets has acquired the assets of Quebec metal fabricator Mil-Quip. The new company will operate as Mil-Quip Groupe Tulmar.
"The acquisition of Mil-Quip is a strategic move to vertically integrate our supply chain and make fabrication solutions a core capability", states Tulmar President Barney Bangs. "We believe this will position us for long-term success on global Defence programs."

Mil-Quip located in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, has been serving the Defence and Transportation markets for the past 30 years. Mil-Quip has complete metal fabricating capabilities including laser cutting and punching, CNC controlled bending and machining, steel and aluminum welding, as well as liquid paint and powder coated finishing. Mil-Quip has an integrated approach that offers design, in-house fabrication and product integration to deliver customized fabrication solutions tailored to OEM program requirements.
